In the wake of escalating tensions and violent clashes in Israel’s capital, Tel Aviv, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered a large-scale deployment of forces to restore public order.

The announcement was made via a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, underscoring the severity of the situation.

Prime Minister Netanyahu was updated on the ongoing unrest by the National Security Minister and Police Commissioner. He subsequently directed the necessary actions be taken to stabilize the situation, making it clear that public safety is a top priority.

The municipality of Tel Aviv has appealed to residents to remain in their homes until the demonstrations subside. This precautionary measure aims to protect citizens from potential harm as law enforcement takes action to control the unrest.

Ikhilov Hospital in Tel Aviv has reported that 12 of the individuals injured in the riots, carried out by Eritrean asylum seekers, are suffering from serious wounds. Additionally, 26 other injured individuals are receiving treatment at the same hospital.

Among these are police officers whose conditions range from minor to moderate injuries.

The situation in Tel Aviv has reached a critical point, prompting a forceful response from both the government and local authorities.

As Netanyahu orders a significant military presence to restore order, hospitals are grappling with an influx of injuries, and residents are advised to stay indoors. The unfolding events underline the urgent need for a resolution to ensure the safety and security of the public.
