Egypt’s Al-Azhar Al-Sharif denounced the decisions of Sweden and Denmark to allow terrorist criminals to burn the Qur’an.

In a statement, the religious institution affirmed that the countries approve of policies of hostility and abhorrent racism against Islam and Muslims.

Al-Azhar called on the Arab and Islamic peoples, and every Muslim to continue to boycott Swedish and Danish products, no matter how small, in support of God’s religion and his book.

It also urged the governments of the Islamic world and its Islamic organizations for the need to show solidarity and take a unified and measured stance towards the violations of these countries that do not respect religious sanctities.

Al-Azhar questioned the silence of the international community regarding these serious international crimes.

It asserted that this silence includes in encouraging these countries to continue committing the crime of blatant hostility to Islam and Muslims.
