In an effort to address the escalating regional tensions, Egypt’s Foreign Minister and Minister of Immigration and Egyptians Abroad, Badr Abdelty, has engaged in intensive diplomatic communications with key counterparts in the Middle East.
According to Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Abdel Aty held discussions with Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the Foreign Minister of the UAE, and Hakan Fidan, the Foreign Minister of Turkey.
The talks centered on coordinating efforts to contain the current regional unrest and prevent the situation from spiraling out of control, which could further destabilize the region.
The ministers emphasized the importance of collaborative action to ensure that the ongoing tensions do not lead to greater instability and disorder.
In addition to discussing regional tensions, the ministers also addressed the situation in Sudan, focusing on ongoing regional and international mediation efforts to achieve a ceasefire and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.
The discussions also covered developments in the Horn of Africa and the ongoing conflict in Gaza, where efforts are being made to negotiate a ceasefire, facilitate the exchange of prisoners, and allow humanitarian assistance to reach those affected by the catastrophic conditions in the region.
Abdelaty’s talks underscore Egypt’s commitment to diplomatic engagement and regional cooperation in pursuit of stability and peace in the Middle East.
