Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly met with UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Dr. Sultan Al Jaber to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from both countries, including Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, the Minister of Electricity, and the Minister of Investment.
Dr. Sultan Al Jaber emphasised the strong interest of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in deepening ties with Egypt. He highlighted ongoing projects, including solar panel manufacturing and energy storage battery production, and expressed readiness to explore additional joint ventures that align with Egypt’s industrial strategy.
The discussion also covered energy sector collaborations, with a focus on achieving 4 GW of power within a year and developing new gas projects. Egyptian officials outlined potential joint initiatives, while UAE representatives detailed current efforts to activate agreed-upon projects.
The meeting followed up on topics discussed during the recent visit of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Egypt, where he met with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to reinforce the importance of swiftly implementing agreed joint projects.
