In a recent statement, Egypt has emphasized its unwavering stance against any Israeli actions concerning the Philadelphia Axis, stating that it will not engage in discussions regarding this matter with the Israeli side.

Egypt, a key player in the region, has made it clear that no arrangements or movements by Israel towards the Philadelphia Axis will be tolerated. This declaration comes amidst rising tensions in the area.

The Philadelphia Axis, also known as Salah al-Din, falls within a demilitarized zone established by the 1979 Camp David Accords between Egypt and Israel. It spans approximately 14.5 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea to the Karam Abu Salem Crossing.

This announcement follows a statement from the Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate, which warned that any Israeli actions towards the Philadelphia Axis in the Gaza Strip would pose a serious and grave threat to Egyptian-Israeli relations.

Diaa Rashwan, the head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate, expressed concern over recent claims made by Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, alleging illicit arms smuggling and the transfer of weapons and explosives into Gaza from Egyptian territory.

Earlier today, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported an increase in casualties resulting from Israeli airstrikes and ground operations in the region. The toll has now reached 26,751 martyrs, with a majority of them being women and children, since the conflict began on October 7th.

Moreover, the ministry stated that 65,636 individuals have been injured since the outbreak of the war, with some victims still trapped under rubble and in the streets, highlighting the urgent humanitarian crisis in the area.

As tensions continue to escalate, Egypt remains resolute in its commitment to safeguarding regional stability and its stance on the Philadelphia Axis remains unwavering.
