Egypt and Italy engaged in extensive bilateral discussions in Cairo, led by the Foreign Ministers Sameh Shoukry and Antonio Tajani, along with their respective delegations.

The official spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared details of the discussions on the social media platform X, emphasising the importance of the deep historical relations between Egypt and Italy.
The two nations expressed their commitment to strengthening economic partnerships and coordinating closely on various regional and international issues.
The spokesperson highlighted the significance of the ongoing collaboration, stating, “We value our deep historical relations with Italy.. and we are working together to strengthen our economic partnership and close coordination on regional and international developments.”
As part of the diplomatic engagements, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani is expected to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi later in the day.
The expanded talks underscore the mutual interest in enhancing ties and addressing shared challenges.
