In a firm declaration, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has warned of a “decisive response” if any attempts are made to displace Palestinians to Egyptian territory. Speaking during a session of the House of Representatives, Madbouly asserted that such scenarios would be met with a response in accordance with international law.
Addressing the House, he emphasized Egypt’s commitment to the peace treaty and urged reciprocal commitment from the Israeli side, especially concerning the potential displacement of Gaza Strip residents. Madbouly underscored that any forced displacement of Gazans poses a clear threat to Egypt and reiterated the nation’s rejection of such actions.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the displacement of Palestinians is unacceptable and tantamount to liquidating the Palestinian cause. Egypt firmly supports the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, he affirmed.
Madbouly acknowledged the challenges Egypt faces, both politically and economically, and noted attempts to exert pressure on countries resisting external agendas. He affirmed Egypt’s resilience against such pressures, emphasizing the nation’s awareness of the challenges and its efforts to accelerate the implementation of national projects.
Revealing substantial humanitarian aid efforts, Madbouly shared that over 11,000 tons of Egyptian aid, including food, medicine, tents, fuel, and other necessities, had been directed to Palestinians until November 19. Despite Egypt’s economic challenges, this aid surpasses the combined contributions of 30 countries, amounting to about 3,000 tons. The Prime Minister announced the recent dispatch of a convoy containing 2,500 tons of aid to Gaza, demonstrating Egypt’s ongoing commitment to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.
