The esteemed Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Cultural Foundation is gearing up to orchestrate the Third Global Forum for a Just Peace Culture in Egypt, slated to take place in January 2024, gathering an elite ensemble of heads of states, government officials, parliamentarians, ministers, alongside a wide array of politicians, thinkers, cultural figures, and media personalities from various countries across the globe.
According to a statement released by the foundation on Tuesday, the forum is anticipated to host dialogic sessions at the leadership level and research-oriented discussions among academics, all under the primary theme revolving around the issue of development and just peace. The Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Cultural Foundation, in collaboration with specialists in the field, has prepared a suite of resolutions related to this topic, a project which was previously submitted to and approved by the United Nations General Assembly.
It’s worth noting that the Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Cultural Foundation successfully conducted the First Global Forum for Peace Culture at the International Court in The Hague in June 2019, centering around the theme of peace education to safeguard cultural heritage. Subsequently, the Second Global Forum for a Just Peace Culture was held in Valletta, the capital city of Malta, under the patronage of Dr. George Vella, President of the Republic of Malta, in March 2022, focusing on the theme of leadership for just peace.
Both forums witnessed distinguished attendance from leaders and dignitaries from numerous world countries, featuring vibrant participation from cultural and political elites.
The upcoming forum in Egypt stands as a beacon, spotlighting the unequivocal link between sustainable development and just peace, transcending boundaries, and pioneering dialogues on the global stage. Bringing together an assorted mix of global thought leaders, it aims to forge paths towards durable peace, equitable development, and collective prosperity.
As the world awaits the unfolding of this monumental event, the spotlight will undeniably be on the outcomes, resolutions, and future pathways carved during the discussions, illuminating the trajectory towards a globally encompassing culture of just peace. The event not only aims to spotlight the pivotal role of inclusive dialogue and international cooperation in peacebuilding but also seeks to navigate the myriad of challenges and opportunities that lie in bridging the realms of development and peaceful coexistence.
In a world where the clamor for justice and peace is ever-pervasive, forums like these stand as pivotal platforms, channeling collective efforts, and fostering international collaborations towards a future where equitable peace is not merely a concept but a universally embraced reality.
