The Egyptian National Electoral Commission has carried on its continuous efforts to complete the logistical preparations for the impending presidential elections.
This announcement was made during a meeting chaired by Counselor Walid Hamza, as part of the commission’s ongoing efforts to finalize logistical preparations and arrangements for the forthcoming presidential elections.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the commission mentioned that during the meeting, they reviewed templates for all election procedure records and lists, starting from the beginning of the voting process until its conclusion. This encompassed the sequence of specific procedures, whether these were for local or general voting committees, as well as within the National Electoral Commission itself.
Members of the commission’s board also discussed the topic of “phosphoric ink,” which will be used during the electoral process. They deliberated on the necessary quantities to be procured and the essential technical specifications to ensure its effectiveness. This ink comes among several guarantees for the integrity of the voting process.
Moreover, they stressed the absolute importance of adhering to all health conditions regarding its components.
The board also tackled the regulatory decisions that need to be issued or activated in preparation for the upcoming electoral event. They investigated the specific timeline for the elections, taking into account constitutional provisions and the stipulated schedules related to the event.
