In a significant move to enhance healthcare infrastructure, the Egyptian government has announced the development of a large-scale medical project in North Sinai.
The announcement coincides with the country’s celebrations of the 51st anniversary of the October War, a pivotal event in Egypt’s modern history.
The project, set to be located on 50 acres of land, will establish a comprehensive medical complex aimed at providing advanced healthcare services to residents of North Sinai and surrounding areas.
According to Egypt’s Ministry of Higher Education, the complex will include a university hospital, an emergency care facility, and various specialized clinics. Additionally, provisions have been made for accommodations to host doctors and nursing teams.
The government’s initiative is part of a broader strategy to improve healthcare across the region, ensuring residents have access to comprehensive medical services.
The complex is designed to offer full-scale healthcare solutions, significantly elevating the standard of medical care available in Sinai.
Minister of Higher Education, Ayman Ashour, emphasized that the new medical complex is a testament to the state’s commitment to the development of Sinai.
He highlighted that this project aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030, a national agenda aimed at achieving sustainable development across various sectors.
The Egyptian government has invested heavily in Sinai, particularly in higher education and healthcare, with a total expenditure of around 23 billion Egyptian pounds allocated to development projects in the region.
