Early Tuesday morning, scores of Palestinians were injured by gunfire and gas inhalation during an Israeli military raid on Askar camp, located east of Nablus. According to Ahmed Jibril, the Director of Ambulance and Emergency at the Red Crescent in Nablus, 58 citizens suffered from gas inhalation. In addition, three individuals were injured: two from gunshot shrapnel and one due to a fall. All injured individuals received necessary on-site medical treatment.
Furthermore, a correspondent from the Palestinian news agency “WAFA” reported that a large contingent of the Israeli military stormed the eastern region of Nablus, moving towards the Askar camp. This was part of an operation to demolish the home of Abdul Fattah Khrousha’s family. The family, consisting of five members, was evacuated amidst this operation, which led to intense confrontations between dozens of Palestinian youths and the occupying soldiers.
It is worth noting that Abdul Fattah Khrousha, 49 years old, was shot and killed by Israeli forces during an assault on Jenin camp on March 7th of the previous year.
