Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump has invited current President Joe Biden to a debate “anytime, anywhere,” criticizing the allegedly corrupt management of the Debate Commission.
In a social media post on Wednesday, Trump wrote, “It is important, for the sake of our country, that Joe Biden and I discuss the very critical issues facing America and the American people. Therefore, I call for debates anytime, anywhere!”
He clarified that the debates could be managed by the corrupt Democratic National Committee or its affiliate, the Presidential Debates Committee (CPD). “I look forward to receiving a response. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Trump has become the sole potential candidate for the Republican Party after his rival Nikki Haley withdrew from the race.
Donald Trump won in 14 states in the “Super Tuesday” primary elections for the Republican Party, including Texas and California, but lost in one state, where Nikki Haley scored a surprise victory in Vermont.
The former president, seeking a comeback to the White House after being ousted by Democrat Joe Biden in 2020, aims to secure the most delegates in the 15 states involved in the Tuesday elections on his path to securing the Republican Party’s nomination ticket.
Expressing gratitude from his “Truth Social” platform, the former president described the night of the results announcement as “fantastic” as he nears securing the Republican Party’s presidential nomination.
On the Democratic side, Biden won in 14 states, as announced by American television networks, but there are expectations that he will lose to a relatively unknown competitor, Jason Palmer, in American Samoa in the South Pacific.
In a statement distributed by his election campaign, Biden warned that Trump is “determined to destroy our democracy, strip away basic freedoms, such as women’s ability to make their own healthcare decisions, and enact another package of tax cuts for the wealthy worth billions of dollars … and he will do or say anything to seize power.”
Polls from the media outlet “Real Clear Politics” show that the 77-year-old Trump is leading by two points over President Joe Biden in the November presidential elections.
