Since the onset of the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, the number of fatalities in Lebanon due to Israeli attacks has reached 2,448, with 11,471 injuries, according to a report released on Saturday night.
The Lebanese Disaster Risk Management Unit in the Council of Ministers stated that in the last 24 hours alone, 30 people were killed and 135 injured due to “Israeli aggressions,” as reported by Lebanon’s National News Agency.
The report documented a total of 82 air raids and bombings across various regions of Lebanon, primarily concentrated in the south and Nabatiyeh, bringing the total number of assaults since the start of the aggression to 10,415.
Additionally, Lebanese General Security has recorded the movement of 337,972 Syrian citizens and 138,005 Lebanese crossing into Syria since September 23, seeking safety from the ongoing violence.
The Israeli military, which has been launching operations named “Arrows of the North” against Lebanon since September 23, continues to escalate its attacks.
In retaliation, Hezbollah has been firing rockets at Israeli bases and sites, marking a severe escalation in hostilities since October 8, 2023, amid the ongoing war in Gaza.
In a recent development, the Israeli army instructed residents of two areas in the southern suburbs of Beirut to evacuate early Sunday morning, anticipating further strikes on buildings it claims house Hezbollah facilities.
The Israeli military identified the locations in the Harat Hreik and Hadath regions, warning residents that they were near Hezbollah facilities targeted for imminent action.
The military advised residents “For your safety and the safety of your families, you must immediately evacuate these buildings and the surrounding areas, maintaining a distance of no less than 500 meters.” The notice included satellite images of the targeted buildings.
