According to matching sources from Al-Wasat portal, the coastal road from Semaphore Janzour has been closed due to intensified clashes around Camp 27.

The reasons behind the clashes remain unclear, but local sources indicated that forces from the Western Coastal Military Zone entered Camp 27 to take over as part of the arrangements by the security committee formed by the Ministry of Interior of the temporary National Unity Government.

However, an armed group refused to hand over the camp and attacked the forces.

Residents in the Janzour area reported hearing intermittent gunfire from light weapons between the 17th and 27th bridges. One resident mentioned that the coastal road near the traffic signal close to the Janzour Textile Factory had been closed.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Interior announced that the Supreme Committee for Security Arrangements had taken over 64 headquarters in the Andalus District and central Tripoli to begin securing them through the ministry’s personnel.

On August 24, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, the head of the temporary National Unity Government, formed a Supreme Committee for Security Arrangements led by the Acting Minister of Interior, Imad Al-Tarabulsi, including representatives from various security and military bodies.

Acting Minister of Interior, Imad Al-Tarabulsi, stated that securing and protecting all institutions within the capital, Tripoli, would be the sole responsibility of the police forces, and that security agencies would return to their main camps.
