Al Nassr has finalised an agreement with Atletico Paranaense to acquire Brazilian goalkeeper Pinto Krepski for €18 million during the current summer transfer window.
Krepski expressed his commitment to the move, stating, “I will fight to be part of the evolving Saudi Arabian league project,” during an interview with Monivillela channel.
Initially, Al Nassr aimed to sign Manchester City‘s goalkeeper Ederson but faced rejection after offering €30 million.
Subsequently, the club‘s focus shifted to Krepski. This move comes as Al Nassr seeks to bolster its defense following David Ospina’s departure.
The 26-year-old Krepski, also targeted by Inter Milan to replace Yann Sommer, was previously on Ittihad’s radar, but Al Nassr succeeded in securing the deal. Krepski is regarded as one of the world’s top goalkeeping talents.
In addition to signing Krepski, Al Nassr has strengthened its squad with several domestic stars who play key roles for the Saudi Arabian national team.
Notable signings include right-back Sultan Al-Ghannam, who has 27 international caps and played a significant role in the World Cup, club captain Abdullah Madu with 15 caps, and midfielder Sami Al-Najei.
Al Nassr’s transfer activities have significantly boosted its social media presence, especially following the high-profile signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Media reports have confirmed that the Saudi football club is preparing an early move during the current summer transfer window regarding the future of the team’s star player.
The French newspaper Onze Mondial, citing British journalist Jacobs, reported that the Saudi club has begun procedures to renew Ronaldo’s contract.
