Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit warned on Wednesday about the dangers of Israeli escalation in the region, stating that Israel is engaging in reckless policies without considering the severe consequences that could affect the region.
The Secretary-General emphasized that “assassinations are actions that violate international law, and conducting them reveals a blatant disregard for international norms and a brazen affront to the rules governing relations between states.”
Aboul Gheit continued by asserting that “the international community must exert the necessary pressure on Israel to prevent a full-scale regional explosion that will result from the reckless policies pursued by its leaders.”
