Apple has discreetly introduced a fresh “Apps by Apple” page on its website, media outlets reported.
This page is tailored to showcase Apple’s own apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, and Apple TV.
It shines a spotlight on essential apps like Messages, Photos, Reminders, and provides sneak peeks into forthcoming features in iOS 17 and more.
On the revamped apple.com/apps site, Apple neatly categorizes its apps into:
Communication: Apps to stay connected.
Creativity: Tools for professionals and creative enthusiasts.
Productivity: Everything you need for your work.
Exploration: Discover and navigate the world effortlessly.
Entertainment and Home: Exciting ways to watch, read, listen, and unwind.
Health and Fitness: Enhancing wellness for your body and mind.
Additionally, there’s a “Features” section highlighting seamlessly integrated elements like Siri, iCloud, CarPlay, and Continuity.
This launch coincides with the possibility of the tech firm having to allow third-party app stores and sideloading on iPhones in Europe.
The company acknowledged the popularity of third-party apps over its own apps last year. This new website could be its approach to showcasing its offerings in comparison.
Last month, Instagram deleted a fraudulent account that was impersonating Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook.
This counterfeit account, identified by the tech outlet 9to5Mac, managed to accumulate followers, including Vice Presidents such as Lisa Jackson, who oversees Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives, and Alan Dye, responsible for Human Interface Design.
The Instagram account had operated under the username “tim.d.cook.” However, it is important to highlight that Tim Cook has exclusively been using Twitter (now known as X) as his social media platform since 2013.
