Algerian President Participates in UN General Assembly

The official Algerian television reported that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has headed to New York to participate in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The Algerian television did not provide additional details on the matter.

This marks the first time President Tebboune has participated in the United Nations General Assembly since his election as President of Algeria on December 12, 2019.

This session will be held under the title “Rebuilding Confidence and Reviving Global Solidarity” with the aim of enhancing joint work towards achieving the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, in order to achieve peace, prosperity, and development in light of the interconnected global challenges, which will affect the pace of achieving those goals.

Algeria‘s participation in this global forum signifies its engagement with international affairs and its commitment to addressing global challenges and fostering cooperation on the world stage.
