In a significant show of solidarity, Algeria has pledged a financial contribution of $30 million for the reconstruction of Palestinian city of Jenin, following the military operations carried out by Israel.

According to a statement from the Algerian presidency, published on the official website, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune decided to provide a financial contribution of $30 million to aid in the reconstruction of Jenin.
This decision comes in response to the heinous and criminal assault conducted by Israeli occupation forces on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp in the West Bank.

The statement further expressed, “This aggression has resulted in numerous casualties among innocent Palestinian brothers and caused significant destruction to the infrastructure, along with the displacement of many Palestinians who had to leave their homes in search of safe havens.”

The Algerian presidency reiterated its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people’s struggle under Israeli occupation, emphasizing their legitimate national rights, including the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Israeli fighter jets and drones conducted extensive airstrikes on Jenin’s refugee camp on Monday, accompanied by an unprecedented incursion by special forces of the Israeli army into the camp.
