The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed that their aircraft have launched an attack on a Russian command center, carried out 8 strikes on military personnel concentration areas, and 6 strikes on anti-aircraft missile systems in the past 24 hours.
The General Staff stated on Tuesday, “Russia continues to kill Ukrainian civilians and blatantly disregard the laws and customs of war. Last night, Russia launched another attack on Ukraine using Shahed Iranian-made attack drones. Information related to the results is being clarified.”
In the past 24 hours, Russian forces have launched a single missile strike and 72 airstrikes, carrying out more than 50 attacks from multiple rocket launchers in populated areas in southern Ukraine, on grain storage facilities, and on children in Ukraine. Residential buildings have suffered destruction and damage.
The General Staff warned that the probability of missile and air strikes on targets throughout Ukraine remains high.
In a separate development, the Military Administration of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, reported that Russian forces launched an air raid on Kyiv in the early hours of the day.
Sergei Bobko, head of the Military Administration, said, “Ukrainian air defense systems in the suburbs of Kyiv repelled the Russian attack and shot down all kamikaze drones.” He added, “Last night, the Russians attacked Kyiv with attack drones. The air raid warning continued for 3 hours. According to preliminary information, the Russians used Iranian-made Shahed ammunition. This is indeed the sixth drone attack on the capital this month. Our air defense forces and means timely destroyed all aerial targets as they approached Kyiv.”
Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, was subjected to Russian attacks in mid-July, which resulted in at least one person killed and four injured.
