Hezbollah launched rockets at a defence company in northern Israel on Saturday, marking the latest in a series of attacks after Israel intensified its bombing campaign against the group last week.

In a statement, Hezbollah confirmed it fired a “rocket salvo” targeting a “military industries company” east of Acre.

Hezbollah’s latest rocket attack comes nearly a year into escalating cross-border clashes between the Iran-backed Lebanese group and Israel.

Tensions have intensified since October 2023, when Hezbollah began firing rockets in support of Hamas following the outbreak of war in Gaza.

Israel has responded with a series of airstrikes and military operations targeting Hezbollah’s positions in southern Lebanon and infrastructure in Beirut.

The conflict is part of a broader regional struggle, with Israel aiming to neutralize threats from Iranian-backed militant groups, including Hamas and Hezbollah, who have vowed to resist Israeli military operations and occupation.
