Russia’s Defence Ministry reported the liberation of four towns in Donetsk and the elimination of 16,640 Ukrainian troops over the past week.

Between September 21 and 27, Russian forces launched 33 strikes on Ukrainian military units, mercenary gatherings, and critical infrastructure, including energy facilities supporting Ukraine’s defense efforts.

These operations also destroyed key assets, including military airports, ammunition depots, drones, fuel supplies, Western-provided weapons, and a train carrying Western military equipment. The “North” forces continued to clear the outskirts of the Kursk region and inflicted heavy losses on Ukrainian forces near the Volchansk and Lipsovsky fronts in Kharkiv.

The “North” units claimed 3,270 Ukrainian casualties, destroyed 10 tanks, including two German Leopards, six rocket launchers, an American HIMARS system, and 53 artillery pieces. Meanwhile, Russia’s “West” forces repelled 24 attacks, killing 2,980 Ukrainian soldiers and destroying seven tanks, 14 armored vehicles, three American M113s, multiple rocket launchers, 52 Western artillery pieces, and 12 electronic warfare stations.

In the Donetsk region, “South” forces liberated the towns of Grigorovka and Ostroe, with Ukrainian losses reaching 5,140 soldiers, two tanks, and dozens of armored vehicles and artillery. The “Center” forces liberated Okrajinsk and Marinovka, repelling 67 attacks and killing 3,880 Ukrainian soldiers while destroying tanks and Western artillery.

The “East” forces continued their advance, repelling 12 attacks, killing 960 soldiers, and destroying tanks, artillery, and electronic warfare stations. The “Dnieper” forces inflicted heavy losses on Ukrainian troops, killing 410 soldiers and destroying two electronic warfare stations, Western artillery, and four ammunition depots.

Russian air defenses shot down an American ATACMS missile, 10 Ukrainian Neptune missiles, two British HARM missiles, two Soviet-era S-200 missiles, 20 British Hammer bombs, and 39 American HIMARS and Czech Vampir missiles. They also destroyed 482 Ukrainian drones, including 164 over southwestern Russia. The Black Sea Fleet downed six Ukrainian unmanned boats, and 66 Ukrainian soldiers were captured.
