The Lebanese Hezbollah announced that it had launched attacks against Israeli forces using drones and appropriate weaponry, targeting several fixed and newly established military sites. The group reported that these strikes resulted in confirmed direct hits on the targeted locations.
This announcement was made in a statement issued by Hezbollah on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, detailing its operations.
The party’s statement read: “In support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with their valiant and honorable resistance, the Islamic Resistance carried out a number of operations against Israeli enemy army sites and deployments along the Lebanese-Palestinian border as follows:
1. A drone strike targeting the newly established headquarters of the Western Brigade south of the Yaara settlement, aiming at positions where officers and soldiers were stationed, with precise hits as a response to the attack on the Bekaa region on Tuesday night.
2. At 14:20, the Rwaisat Al-Alam site in the occupied Lebanese hills of Kafr Shuba was targeted with rocket-propelled weapons, resulting in a direct hit.
3. At 14:20, the Samaqa site in the occupied Lebanese hills of Kafr Shuba was targeted with rocket-propelled weapons, achieving a direct hit.
4. At 16:15, the Bayad Blida site was targeted with appropriate weapons, resulting in a direct hit.
5. Buildings used by Israeli soldiers in the Manara settlement were targeted with appropriate weapons in response to their attacks on steadfast southern villages and safe homes.
