Egypt’s Defense Minister, General Abdelmajid Saqr, emphasized on Sunday the importance of maintaining the highest levels of readiness to protect the nation’s borders in all strategic directions.

During a meeting with several leaders of officers and soldiers from the Armed Forces in the Northern Military Region and the Naval Command, he stated that the armed forces are the protective shield and sword of the Egyptian people against anyone who dares to threaten the sanctity of the homeland and the safety of its territories. He stressed that the General Command of the Armed Forces spares no effort in providing continuous support to all units and formations to always maintain the highest levels of efficiency and combat readiness.

High Alertness and Combat Readiness
Major General Hisham Hassani, commander of the Northern Military Region, delivered a speech in which he expressed the men’s commitment to enhancing their skill and physical levels through continuous training and high morale. They are always at the highest level of alertness and readiness for any tasks assigned to them. He also highlighted their participation in supporting civil society and providing a decent life for the Egyptian people in cooperation with all the executive bodies and relevant authorities in the state.

In a related context, the Defense Minister conducted an inspection tour within the Naval Forces, during which he was briefed by Admiral Ashraf Attwa, the commander of the Naval Forces, about the newly joined naval units and those being manufactured with indigenous capabilities at the Naval Dockyard by Egyptian hands, representing a significant technological addition to the capabilities of the Naval Forces. This contributes to achieving complete control over the country’s extended coastlines along the Red and Mediterranean Seas.
