Sudanese Army Launches Airstrikes on RSF Positions in Sennar & Al-Fashir

In an escalating military conflict, the Sudanese Army has initiated a series of airstrikes against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the Jebel Moya area, western Sennar province, as reported by Al Jazeera correspondents early Monday morning. This region lies in the southeastern part of Sudan.

Further north in Darfur, intense clashes involving heavy and light weapons erupted last night between the Sudanese Army and the RSF, southeast of Al-Fashir, the capital of North Darfur state. These developments mark a significant intensification in the ongoing conflict within the region.

Amid these military operations, Yasser Abdul Rahman Al-Atta, a member of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereign Council and assistant to the army’s commander-in-chief, met with officers and soldiers in the Omdurman military area.

Al-Atta emphasized the significant losses inflicted daily on what he referred to as the “terrorist Al-Dagalo militia” by the Sudanese Army and allied regular forces and mobilized citizens. He declared that the “war of dignity” would continue until the RSF and their collaborators surrender.

Sudan’s Minister of Culture and Information, Grahame Abdel Qader, also highlighted concerns regarding the encroachment of rebel militias into wildlife reserves and agricultural project sites.

He described this as a continuous challenge to international laws protecting the environment, natural and cultural heritage, and human rights to work, production, and dignified living.
