Mossad Chief David Barnea headed to Doha to resume prisoner exchange and Gaza ceasefire talks. According to KAN, he travels without the rest of the delegation. If significant progress occurs, they will join him later.

Israeli officials expect lengthy negotiations, potentially lasting a month. On Wednesday, Hamas responded to the ceasefire proposal. Mediators have hope but need to resolve many issues. Specifics of these issues remain undisclosed.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Netanyahu approved sending the negotiating team to Doha after Israel received Hamas’s response regarding a prisoner exchange agreement. Israel, Hamas, and mediators have not released response details.
