The White House has unveiled a new $150 million military aid package for Ukraine, continuing US support in Ukraine’s defense against Russian aggression.

White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre detailed during a briefing that this marks the seventh military aid package authorized by President Biden since Congress passed the assistance law for Ukraine in April.

The aid includes missiles for air defense systems, ammunition for HIMARS, artillery shells, and other critical capabilities sourced from US Army stocks. Additionally, funding will support the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense in purchasing interceptors to safeguard soldiers and cities from Russian aerial attacks.

Jean-Pierre emphasized the pivotal role of US assistance, attributing the recent setbacks in Russia’s offensive near Kharkiv to the bravery of Ukrainian forces and the equipment provided by the United States and its allies.

This new aid package follows a previous allocation of $225 million announced on June 7, underscoring ongoing US commitment to bolstering Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
