In a statement on Tuesday, Kamal Kharazi, the International Affairs Advisor to the Iranian Supreme Leader, asserted that Iran and all factions of the “Axis of Resistance” will support Lebanon’s Hezbollah by all means in the event of a war with Israel.

Kharazi emphasized during an interview, “All the Lebanese people, Arab countries, and members of the Axis of Resistance will support Lebanon against Israel. In such a case, we would have no choice but to support Hezbollah by all means.”

He pointed out that “if Israel launches a large-scale attack against Hezbollah, it could trigger a regional conflict,” noting that Tehran does not desire a regional conflict and urges the United States to pressure Israel to prevent further escalation.

Kharazi added, “Expanding the war is in no one’s interest – neither Iran’s nor the United States’.”

This statement comes after the German newspaper “Bild” reported from diplomatic sources that Israel is set to launch an attack on Lebanon in the second half of July if Hezbollah does not cease its fire.
