Today, many questions arise about the fate of the Twitter platform after the introduction of the competing application “Threads” in the market.
As Meta Platforms plans to launch a microblogging application called “Threads,” experts explain the nature of the competition between these tech giants and their expectations for the outcome of this confrontation, as reported by Sky News Arabia.

Meta’s announcement of the new application comes just days after Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, imposed a temporary limit on the number of tweets each user can see on the famous blue bird platform. Twitter also announced a list of restrictions on the use of the application, including the requirement for verified accounts to use “TweetDeck.”

Information technology expert, Islam Ghanem, sheds light on the fierce competition between these tech giants to attract users:
Meta has extensive arms represented by Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook, while Elon Musk owns Twitter and his own company, Starlink, which focuses on internet connectivity.

Meta attempted to expand and increase the number of users by providing internet access to areas with no mobile or internet services.
Musk then launched his project “Starlink” to provide internet access through satellite coverage of the Earth.
Subsequently, the competition between the two companies escalated in the field of “short text” applications, with Meta attempting to compete with Twitter.
