25 Killed in Bus Accident in Mexico

In a tragic incident in the southern state of Oaxaca, Mexico, a passenger bus veered off the road and plunged into a ravine on Wednesday, resulting in a devastating loss of lives.

According to an anonymous police officer speaking to AFP, the preliminary toll stands at 25 people dead, with 17 others sustaining severe injuries.

Local news outlet Milenio reported the same death toll, and the governor of Oaxaca confirmed the incident occurred in the town of Magdalena Penasco through a tweet.

The state transport police shared additional details via Twitter, revealing that the bus was traveling from Mexico City to Yosondua, a municipality situated in western Oaxaca.

This tragic accident has brought immense grief and sorrow, and our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all those affected by this devastating incident.
