The US Central Command has reported that Yemen’s Houthi group launched four anti-ship ballistic missiles over the Red Sea from areas under their control within the last 24 hours. The command noted that no US, coalition, or commercial ships reported any injuries or damage from these incidents.

Meanwhile, the Houthi group announced that it targeted two ships in the Red Sea using drones and missiles. However, there has been no independent confirmation of these attacks. Yahya Saree, the military spokesperson for the Iran-aligned Houthi group, stated on television that the Yemeni armed forces conducted joint operations with the navy, air force, and missile force in the Red Sea against two vessels owned by companies that violated the blockade on ports in the occupied Palestinian territories. The targeted ships were identified as Elbila and Ol Jenoa.

Saree did not specify the dates of these operations. Reuters has not received any reports of incidents in the Red Sea on Friday.

Eastern Mediterranean Maritime, the company managing the Maltese-flagged container ship Elbila, declined to comment on these reports.
