Israeli forces have arrested at least 20 Palestinians in the West Bank, including children and former prisoners, from Saturday evening to Sunday morning, according to Palestinian media reports.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club and the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs issued a joint statement detailing the arrests.

The raids took place in Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus, Hebron, Jenin, and Jerusalem, involving extensive incursions, abuse, and property damage.

The statement noted that the total number of arrests since October 7 of the previous year has exceeded 8,875.

This figure includes individuals arrested from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under pressure, and those held as hostages.

These arrest campaigns are a key part of the Israeli occupation’s systematic and ongoing strategies.

They are also a central tool of the policy of “collective punishment,” which targets Palestinians amid the broader assault on Gaza and ongoing violence since October 7.

The systematic arrests highlight the continuous and severe measures employed by Israeli forces against Palestinians, exacerbating tensions and human rights concerns in the region.
