The United Nations has disclosed that the Israeli military was previously notified about the travel route of a UN vehicle, which was involved in a fatal incident in Rafah.

Waibhav Anil Kale, a 46-year-old Indian national and UN staff member, was killed while the vehicle, clearly marked with a UN flag, was en route to a hospital in Khan Younis.

UN spokesman Rolando Gomez confirmed to the press on Tuesday that the Israeli authorities had been informed of the vehicle’s movements prior to the incident.

This statement challenges the initial claims made by the Israel Defense Forces, which labeled the area as an active combat zone after the vehicle was struck.

Additionally, a report by Human Rights Watch released on Tuesday highlighted that Israeli forces have targeted aid worker convoys and facilities at least eight times since October, despite having been provided with their coordinates to avoid such incidents.
