The World Health Organization (WHO) has recorded 24,000 cases of fever in Yemen during the first quarter of this year. According to the organization, the cases were distributed among 13,000 measles cases, more than 8,700 dengue fever cases, and 2,080 suspected cholera cases.

The actual numbers are likely much higher. The WHO pointed out that the Houthi group has stopped periodic vaccination campaigns and encouraged people to refuse to vaccinate their children, claiming it is a Western conspiracy.

Meanwhile, the European Commission has warned of an increase in malnutrition cases in Yemen over the coming months due to worsening food insecurity, inadequate primary healthcare services, and a lack of humanitarian funding.

The Commission stated that there has been an increase in malnutrition cases in several provinces since the beginning of this year, with expectations of further increases from June to September.
