UAE & Oman Emphasize Need for Peace

The UAE and the Sultanate of Oman have released a joint statement following Sultan Haitham bin Tariq’s two-day visit to the UAE, highlighting their commitment to peace, stability, and prosperity for all nations.

Amid regional developments, both nations urge restraint to safeguard the region and its inhabitants from escalation and instability, emphasizing adherence to international law and diplomatic conflict resolution. They call upon the United Nations and the Security Council to uphold their responsibilities in promoting global peace and security.

The visit underscores the strong fraternal ties and enduring cooperation between the UAE and Oman, with Sultan Haitham leading a high-level delegation in response to an invitation from President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Discussions between the leaders reinforce the outcomes of Sheikh Mohamed’s 2022 visit to Oman, fostering strategic cooperation across various sectors.

In their discussions, Sheikh Mohamed and Sultan Haitham underscored the importance of regional coordination to advance mutual interests and bolster stability and security. Both leaders advocate for the advancement of stability, prosperity, and development for all nations and peoples, both regionally and globally.
