Apple has increased the price of its iCloud storage plans by 25% in the UK as well as in some other countries and regions.

According to 9to5Mac, iCloud plans in Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sweden, Tanzania, Turkey, and the UAE witnessed a price surge. Meanwhile, the pricing in the US remained unchanged for now.

The price hike sees the base 5GB of iCloud storage available for free, with the 50GB tier increasing from £0.79/month to £0.99/month, the 200GB tier rising from £2.49 to £2.79, and the top-tier 2TB plan jumping from £6.99 to £8.99.

Users paying for iCloud unlock iCloud+, a premium cloud subscription that expands the available iCloud service with features like iCloud Private Relay, Hide My Email, HomeKit Secure Video support, and increases storage.

Earlier this month, the tech giant announced plans to launch an advanced headset poised to merge the boundaries of the virtual and real world. That leap reflected Apple’s knack for mainstreaming revolutionary technology in ways that have previously eluded other competitors.
