The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that an aircraft belonging to the international coalition has successfully destroyed a drone launched by the Houthis from areas under their control in Yemen.
The Central Command added in a statement issued early Thursday that a Houthi-affiliated unmanned boat was also destroyed.
According to the Central Command, there were no reports of any injuries or damages to US ships or coalition forces.
“It was determined that these weapons pose an imminent threat to commercial vessels and US naval ships in the region.
These actions are taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure for the US Navy and commercial ships,” the statement added.
A total of 18 people were killed in the Houthi group’s bombing of a house in Radaa city, Al Bayda province, central Yemen.

Witnesses told Reuters that forces affiliated with the Houthi group detonated a house in the Al-Hafra neighbourhood of Radaa City, with more than 20 people inside.
The spokesperson for the Houthis, Yahya Saree, recently announced that they targeted the “American vessel Madu” in the Red Sea with several appropriate sea missiles.
Targeting Eilat: Saree added that the Eilat area in Israel was targeted with several cruise missiles. This announcement comes after the American military earlier on Tuesday reported destroying 7 missiles, 3 drones, and 3 weapon storage containers belonging to the Houthis.
