Denmark has unveiled a new military aid package for Ukraine valued at approximately £263 million, as reported by the Danish Ministry of Defense via the English service of Sky News.
The latest assistance package includes Caesar artillery systems and ammunition, highlighting Copenhagen’s steadfast support for Ukraine. Denmark has been a vocal backer of Ukraine, pledging significant military aid since the onset of the conflict.
Notably, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed on Monday that Russian security services have long possessed information about the presence of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) advisors in Ukraine.
This statement was made in response to Polish media claims about NATO soldiers being in Ukraine, as reported by Reuters. Polish Foreign Minister stated that the presence of NATO forces in Ukraine “is possible” and commended the French President for not dismissing the idea.
Radek Sikorski, during a discussion marking the 25th anniversary of Poland’s NATO membership in the Polish parliament on Friday, made these remarks, which were later broadcast in English on the X platform by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
French President Emmanuel Macron previously mentioned that the deployment of Western forces to Ukraine could not be ruled out, a comment that sparked outrage among other leaders.
French officials later sought to clarify Macron’s statements and mitigate the backlash, insisting on the need to send a clear signal to Russia that it cannot win its war in Ukraine.
The Kremlin warned that if NATO deploys combat forces, direct conflict between the alliance and Russia would be inevitable.
