During the 39th educational seminar of the Armed Forces on Martyr’s Day, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi stated that the cost of reconstructing Gaza amounts to $90 billion.

On March 9th every year, the Egyptian Armed Forces celebrate Martyr’s Day, honoring the souls of the martyrs and remembering their sacrifices in safeguarding the nation.

March 9th is chosen in remembrance of the martyrdom of Field Marshal Abdel Moneim Riad in 1969. He set a remarkable example of frontline presence, always at the forefront, showcasing the leader’s solidarity with his soldiers on the battlefield.

 

The Egyptian Armed Forces commemorate Martyr’s Day on March 9th each year to honor the sacrifices of the martyrs who have defended the nation. The significance of March 9th stems from the martyrdom of Field Marshal Abdel Moneim Riad in 1969, who exemplified leadership by his frontline presence and solidarity with his soldiers.
