The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed vehement opposition to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s post-war plan, characterizing it as an official endorsement of the reoccupation of the Gaza Strip and the imposition of Israeli control. The Arab World News Agency reported the ministry’s strong rejection of Netanyahu’s proposed course of action.

In an official statement, the ministry condemned Netanyahu’s plan as a “scandalous maneuver” designed to obstruct and undermine US and international efforts aimed at linking arrangements for halting the war, releasing prisoners, and resolving the conflict to the tangible realization of the Palestinian state on the ground.

The ministry further asserted that Netanyahu’s plan is geared towards prolonging the conflict in Gaza and serves as an attempt to buy time for the implementation of a displacement plan.

Earlier reports from Israeli media disclosed that Netanyahu presented his post-war plan to the small security cabinet. The plan emphasizes Israel’s intention to maintain freedom of action throughout the entire Gaza Strip indefinitely, with the primary objective of preventing renewed operations and thwarting potential future threats.

Netanyahu’s document also revealed plans to establish a security zone in the Gaza Strip adjacent to Israeli settlements, which will persist as long as necessary.

Additionally, Israel aims to maintain the “southern closure” along the Gaza-Egypt border to prevent the rearmament of factions in the Gaza Strip.

In the long term, the document rejects international dictates regarding a permanent settlement with the Palestinians, asserting that such an arrangement will only be achieved through direct negotiations between the two parties without preconditions.
