In a pivotal meeting aimed at bolstering bilateral relations and supporting stabilization efforts in Libya, the acting Foreign Minister of the interim National Unity Government, Taher El Baour, engaged in substantive discussions with the British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden.

The discussions, which took place at the ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli on Tuesday, revolved around mutual interests and the enhancement of cooperation between the two nations.

The meeting also delved into the situation in Gaza, highlighting the urgent need for intervention to support the Palestinian people, according to a statement on the ministry’s Facebook page.

In a related engagement, El Baour met with the European Union Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando, where they exchanged views on matters of mutual interest. During this meeting, Orlando urged Libyan parties to engage in mediation efforts led by Patel, underscoring the significance of strengthening the strategic relationship and collaboration across various sectors between Libya and the European Union.

Both parties emphasized the importance of concerted efforts aimed at enhancing stability and paving the way for elections.
