The United Arab Emirates has achieved third place on the “Greenfield Performance Index” of the British ‘FDI Intelligence’ journal, which specializes in investment affairs.

The index annually monitors the best investment sites globally in relation to their economic size, specifically concerning the attraction of direct foreign investments for the execution of new and untapped projects within each site. Notably, the index does not account for the completion of already existing projects.

This year, the UAE garnered a total score of 11.1 on the index, indicating a considerable 469+ increase in the number of new projects that commenced within the last year (2021 – 2022). The number of these projects in the UAE rose from 541 in 2021 to 1000 in 2022, making the UAE the second largest country in terms of volume growth within the mentioned period.
