Seven people, including three children, were killed on Saturday, February 10th, in overnight Russian drone strikes targeting a gas station in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, as announced by the regional governor, Oleg Synegubov.

Synegubov stated on his Telegram account, “Unfortunately, the death toll from the occupier’s attacks on Kharkiv has risen to seven.”

He added, “Among them are three children: a 7-year-old child, a 4-year-old child, and an infant of about six months old.”

Kharkiv’s city mayor, Ihor Terekhov, noted that Iranian-made Shahed drones “hit a gas station and caused a fuel leak, leading to the burning of 14 homes.”

He further mentioned that the fire covered a large area, resulting in the evacuation of about fifty people from the city.

Oleksandr Filashkov, the regional prosecutor in Kharkiv, clarified that “three drones struck the Nemyshlianskyi area in Kharkiv, destroying critical infrastructure,” referring to the gas station.

Volodymyr Tymoshko, the Police Chief of Kharkiv, was quoted by “Suspilne” newspaper saying, “At 6:00 AM, efforts to extinguish the flames were ongoing, with 14 homes destroyed.”

Saturday’s attack follows a series of nighttime assaults in Kharkiv and the city of Velykyi Burluk to the east. Governor Oleg Synegubov reported that the strikes hit civilian areas in both cities.
