In a tragic incident, two French volunteers lost their lives today in a Russian attack in the southern region of Ukraine, as reported by Reuters.
The attack took place in the town of Berislav in the Kherson region, resulting in the deaths of the French citizens and injuries to three other foreigners.
Alexander Brokodin, the governor of Kherson, shared the news on the Telegram application, confirming that the Russian assault on Berislav led to the casualties of the French volunteers.
Prosecutors in Kherson revealed that Russian forces launched a major drone attack in the area around 4 p.m., with one Ukrainian citizen also reported injured in the incident.
Berislav is situated on the western bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region, which saw the withdrawal of Russian forces in late 2022.
