A Libyan passenger ship, the “Kevalay Queen,” collided with a cargo vessel off the coast of Istanbul today, Friday, with no reported injuries, according to the TR Haber television channel.

The channel reported that the passenger ship ‘Kivalay Queen,’ standing at a height of 147 meters, collided in the Marmara Sea near Yenikapi with the cargo ship ‘Captain Adam 1,’ which stands at a height of 103 meters and carries the Tanzanian flag.”

The television channel stated that both ships sustained damage, but no injuries were reported.

The vessels were towed to the Haydarpasa dock.

Media reports indicate that the “Kivalay Queen Liner” has been conducting regular maritime trips between Libya’s Misrata and Turkish ports since the end of 2021 after a 25-year hiatus.
