Israeli Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, announced on Sunday that the Israeli occupation will expand the scope of its ground attack in Khan Younis, Gaza.

According to Israeli media reports on Sunday, Gallant stated, “The operation in Khan Younis will soon expand to other areas, and the sky of Gaza will be covered with smoke until we achieve our objectives of defeating Hamas and bringing the captives back to their homes.”

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, expressed on Sunday his rejection of what he called “the surrender conditions proposed by Hamas.” He referred to the conditions set by the movement for releasing detainees in Gaza, including ending the Gaza war.

He added, “Whoever tries to target us, we target them. So far, we have brought back 110 captives, and we are committed to bringing them all back. This is one of the goals of the war, and military pressure is a fundamental condition for its achievement. I am working around the clock to accomplish this.”

The Prime Minister of the occupation further stated, “I completely reject the surrender conditions set by Hamas. In exchange for releasing the captives, Hamas demands an end to the war, withdrawal of our forces from Gaza, the release of all murderers and rapists from the elite forces, and keeping Hamas in power. If we agreed to this, we could not ensure the security of our citizens. I am not prepared to accept such a serious compromise to the security of Israel, so we will not agree to this.”

He affirmed, “The conditions set by Hamas reveal a simple truth: there is no alternative to absolute victory, which will ensure the eradication of Hamas and the return of all prisoners. We will continue the war on all fronts.”

He stated, “Gaza must be demilitarized and under full Israeli security control.”
