Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, has reiterated the European Union’s commitment to supporting Tunisia in its efforts to implement reforms.

During her meeting with Tunisian Prime Minister Ahmed El-Hachani on the sidelines of the Davos International Economic Forum on Thursday, von der Leyen stated that Tunisia can always rely on the EU’s support in addressing various issues and advancing reforms.”

She added that the EU will continue to support Tunisia, which is considered a special partner with significant capabilities and potential in promising sectors.

Von der Leyen emphasized that the EU is working with Tunisia to achieve various aspects of economic and financial strategic partnership, highlighting that the union is the largest foreign investor and trading partner for Tunisia.
