In an update marking 100 days since the conflict in Gaza, the crisis hotline in Israel, known as “Eran,” has reported receiving over 100,000 requests for psychological assistance since October 7th.

This revelation comes from the Israeli news outlet “Times of Israel.”

Eran, the organization responsible for the crisis hotline, revealed that approximately 3,000 requests for help were received during the events that unfolded on October 7th.

During that time, around 1,200 Israelis lost their lives, and around 240 were taken captive.

David Koren, the CEO of Eran, emphasized the importance of understanding the substantial number of requests in the context of mental health for all Israeli citizens.

He stated, “The overwhelming number of requests is evidence of the need for assistance.” Koren added, “These are truly challenging and heartbreaking requests that have been received since the beginning of these events and the heavy catastrophe that befell the state of Israel.”

As Israel’s conflict in Gaza reached its 100th day, the region continues to witness ongoing clashes and rocket launches. There are concerns about the war’s potential expansion across the entire region.
