The Health Ministry in Gaza reported on Friday that the Palestinian death toll has reached 22,600 as a result of Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip during the continuing Israel-Hamas conflict.

In the past 24 hours alone, the ministry stated that the Israeli military carried out 15 attacks on Gaza, leading to 162 deaths and 296 injuries. Since the commencement of Israel’s military operations against Gaza on October 7, 2023, triggered by a surprise Hamas attack, the total number of casualties has risen to 22,600 deaths and 57,910 injuries.

In a noteworthy development, the Israeli military announced on Friday a temporary suspension of military operations in the Tel al-Sultan district of Rafah City in the Gaza Strip from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time for humanitarian reasons, facilitating the delivery of supplies.

Additionally, starting from Friday, the Salah al-Din Road, spanning from north to south in the Gaza Strip, will be closed, while the Rashid Road along the Mediterranean Sea will remain open. Residents in northern Gaza will have the opportunity to walk or drive to the southern region between 9:00 a.m. (0700 GMT) and 4:00 p.m. (1400 GMT) on Friday.
