In a devastating incident, one individual has lost their life, while 21 others have sustained severe injuries due to a fire that erupted at a bar located in the heart of Graz, Austria, during the early hours of New Year’s Day.
The Austrian authorities reported that the fire ignited at approximately 4 a.m. at a bar within the city center, where a New Year’s celebration was taking place.
Regrettably, one person, as yet unidentified, succumbed to their injuries, as stated by the Styrian state police.
Additionally, at least three more individuals remain in critical condition and are being treated in the intensive care unit of a local hospital.
The exact cause of the fire, which initiated near the bar’s entrance, remains under investigation, with authorities focusing on a potential technical malfunction.
